The School District of Indian River County (SDIRC) invites educators, instructional leaders, staff, and community members to participate in the upcoming SDIRC Instructional Calendar Committee meetings. The committee plays an important role in reviewing and discussing future instructional calendar considerations, ensuring that decisions reflect the needs of students, employees, and the broader school community.

The committee will meet monthly this fall at the District Office in the Large Instructional Room from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:

Thursday, October 8, 2026

Thursday, November 12, 2026

The Instructional Calendar Committee provides a collaborative forum for reviewing factors that influence the development of the district's academic calendar, including instructional time, state requirements, holidays, professional learning opportunities, and operational considerations. Feedback and collaboration from committee members help inform recommendations that support student achievement while balancing the needs of families and employees.
