InnovatED Phase 2 flyer announcing town halls about proposals for Wabasso School and a connected arts pathway in Sebastian. Sessions are Monday, October 26, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the J.A. Thompson Administrative Center; Tuesday, October 27, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Wabasso School; and Monday, November 2, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Sebastian River Middle School. The proposals are still under consideration. A QR code lets people who cannot attend share questions or ideas with the District planning team and school leadership.

As the School District of Indian River County plans for the future of its schools, the District is inviting families, staff, and community members to learn about two InnovatED Phase 2 proposals and share their perspectives.

One proposal would address Wabasso School’s capacity needs by creating additional space and specialized learning areas. The other would connect arts learning opportunities for students in Sebastian. Both proposals are still under consideration. Community input will help inform next steps before the School Board considers them in December 2026.
